Bloody Dead And Sexy – neues Album Ende Mai!
Älter zu werden ist ein Umstand, dessen gute Seiten man meist erst dann erkennt, wenn man eine gewisse Altersgrenze überschritten hat. Im Idealfall ist man um etliche Erfahrungen reicher, eine gute Portion abgeklärter.
Man weiß, was man kann und will. Die innere Ruhe lässt sich nicht mehr so leicht aus dem Gleichgewicht bringen. Und irgendwie merkt man zunehmend, dass über den Tellerrand schauen eine durchaus lohnenswerte Angelegenheit ist.
Was dies mit BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY zu tun hat? Das ist eigentlich recht simpel.
Fünf Jahre sind vergangen seitdem die deutsche Formation mit “Narcotic Room” ein State Of The Art-Dark Rock-Album vorgelegt hat, welches – natürlich – die Deathrock-Elemente der Frühphase der Band aufgriff, diese jedoch mit feinstem Songwriting und einer absolut amtlichen Produktion vermengte, um den mittlerweile ureigenen Band-Sound in das neue Jahrtausend zu katapultieren.
Und nun? Nun schreiben wir 2010. Die zweite Dekade des 21. Jahrhunderts hat begonnen und BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY sind alles andere als müde. “An Eye On You”, der bisher opulenteste Longplayer des Quartetts, verfeinert die bereits aufgeführten Zutaten auf eine dermaßen lässig-gekonnte Art und Weise, das man schon fast dazu geneigt ist, den Jungs – excusez moi – den Herren übermäßige Coolness attestieren zu wollen.
Vom smart-riffigen Opener “Solemn Times” zum unterkühlt-rockigen “City Ghosts” über den bestens bekannten, aber bisher noch nie so gut klingenden “Reaping Day” via des nächste Düster-Disco-Smashers “Candy Box” bis hin zum dreiteiligen Epos “Three Corners Of An Eye”: Alles macht Sinn! Alles klang noch nie so frei, dabei jedoch auch noch nie so ungestüm und auf alle etwaigen Genrezwangsjacken pfeifend.
Die Hard-Fans der ersten Stunden wird es vor allem freuen, dass mit “Der Kuss” auch endlich wieder ein deutschsprachiger Song den Weg in das neue Repertoire der achtbeinigen Combo geschafft hat, welcher sich nahtlos in die Reihe von Band-Hymnen à la “Frau im See” oder “Traurig” einreiht.
15 Tracks, die die Welt unbedingt braucht. 15 “Songs Of Truth”.
15 Stücke, die eindrucksvoll akustisch belegen, dass BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY mit dem Alter einfach immer besser werden – wie ein guter Wein.
“An Eye On You” ist schon jetzt die Full-Length-Scheibe des noch jungen Jahres für alle Anhänger von anspruchsvollem, düstererem und nicht aufgesetztem Rock – ganz gleich, ob man das Endprodukt nun Gothic-, Wave-, Death- oder Alternative Rock nennen kann, soll und/oder will.
Auf dem diesjährigen, zum 19. Mal in Leipzig stattfindenden Wave Gotik Treffen, dem größten Szenefestival weltweit, werden BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY “An Eye On You” zum ersten Mal live vorstellen. Weitere Showcases sind derzeit bereits in Planung.

Bloody Dead And Sexy – out on May 28th!
Becoming older is a fact of life, which has some good aspects that are mostly appreciated beyond a certain age only. If everything went right, you had become wise and clarified. You know what you want.
The inner peace and balance is not easily disturbed. And somehow you realize, that looking behind the curtain is an effort worth to be done.
But what has this to do with BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY? Quite simple; Five years ago, the German band has release a State Of The Art-Dark Rock-Album named “Narcotic Room”, which incorporated the death rock-elements of the early phase of the band. Combined with the finest songwriting and a very solid production, the very original sound of the band boosted the band into the next millennium.
And now? 2010 is today. The second decade of the 21st century has just begun and BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY are all but tired. “An Eye on You” is the greatest long player of the band of four. Only the finest ingredients are stirred in a smooth & relaxed way, and with extravagance that it could be perceived to be (excusez moi) overly coolness of the four gentlemen.
Starting with the smart-riffed opener “Solemn Times”, coming across the cold-rocking “City Ghosts” or the well-known, but incomparably excellent sounding “Reaping Day”, via the dark-floor smasher of “Candy Box” to the three-parted epic work of “Three Corners of an Eye”: It makes perfect sense! Never before has it sounded that free & at the same time dashing, full of neglect of all stylistic borders.
Hardcore-Fans of the early days will be delighted that a German song named “Der Kuss” made its way onto the record of the eight-legged band. It dovetails perfectly with band-anthems, “Frau im See” or “Traurig”.

BLOODY DEAD AND SEXY will perform “An Eye on You” for the first time live on the world-largest dark music festival – the 19th Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Germany. More showcases are planned.
